Our Mission

Community Living London is a registered charity dedicated to supporting people with intellectual disabilities and their families to live fulfilled lives.

Community Living London is one of London's leading not-for-profit organizations that offers programs and services to over 700 people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

The organization began in 1952, focusing on the development of preschool and adult services.  Over the years, the organization saw rapid growth and expansion of both Residential and Employment Services.  In 1990, the organization transitioned to a new name: Community Living London, to reflect the goals of integration and inclusion that were emerging as the mission of Associations for Community Living across Ontario.  New funding from the Provincial Government was significally reduced in the last decade of the 20th Century, and associations were (and are) faced with long waits, based on funding reductions, and increasing requests for services.

To this day, Community Living London continues to advocate for and develop services taht will enable people with intellectual disabilities to be come fully participating and fully contributing members of our community. Click here for more information on Community Living London.
